What Happens If It Rains on Photo Day?

Moody overcast sky over a suburban home photographed for a real estate listing by Proper Lens

Rain on shoot day is every agent's worry. Here is our actual policy, so there are no surprises.

What we can still do in the rain

Interiors are unaffected — we shoot every inside room on schedule, and overcast light through windows is often softer and more flattering than harsh sun. If the skies clear later in the day, we step out for exteriors then.

When we reschedule

If it's a steady downpour with no break, we reschedule the exterior shots at no extra charge — you keep the interior photos on the normal 24-hour delivery so your listing doesn't stall. We watch the forecast the morning of every shoot and will text you early if it looks doubtful.

Twilight and drone in bad weather

Twilight shoots need a clear-ish sky to get the glow, so those move to the next clear evening. Drone flights are grounded in rain or high wind, full stop — safety first.

The rule is simple: we never deliver a gray, rainy hero shot as your first impression. Book your shoot or call 413-471-4285.
